A graveside service for former McMinnville resident Florence J "JUDY" Coggin of Bend will be held at 11am Wednesday in Rose Hills Memorial Park, Whitter, Ca
Mrs Coggin died Sep 25, 2003 in Bend. She was 91
She was born Jan 17 1912 in Covington,Tenn, the daughter of Charles Nathan and Marry Willis Wright. She first married Herman Huggins in 1929. The couple divorced in 1940. She worked for Fisher Body Aircraft in Mewmphis, Tenn., during World War II. In 1945 she moved to California where she worked for Douglas Aircraft until D-Day. She married Lester Lee Coggin Aug 5, 1951, The couple adopted a son Tom Lee Coggin. They lived in Downey,Ca, until her husband Les retired from Alberston Market (formmerly All American Markets) they moved to McMinnville in 1977. She had lived in Bend the past three years. Survivors include a son, Tom Coggin of Sunriver,a sister Helen Reynolds of Summerville, Tenn. and four grandchildren Karli,Mackenzie,Kori and Conner all of Sunriver.
She was preceded in death by her husband Les, a grandson Brian Lee Coggin, four sisters Vera Glover, Louise Sorrell,Ora Mae Sparks and Margie Leath, and two brothers Clyde and Everet Wright
