MABEL CHRISTINE KEARNS WRIGHT, age 97, Cynthiana, died Monday, September 28, 2015. Born in Harrison County November 30, 1917, to the late Ben and Tincie Whalen Kearns, she was a housewife and a member of Clays Mill Road Baptist Church in Lexington.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Gobel "Bill" Wright; a son, Richard Lee Wright; four brothers, Thomas Kearns, Rufus Kearns, Gene Kearns and Newell "Bootsie" Kearns; two sisters, Lou Mickel and Alnetta Grossman; and a great-granddaughter, Hailey Townsend. She is survived by: two sons, Jerry (Linda Lou) Wright, Harrison County, and Wayne (Linda I.) Wright, Cynthiana; seven grandchildren, Kevin Wayne Wright, Lora Florence, Karen Roe, Kimberly Wright, Terri Yearsley, Christy Johnson and Pam Townsend; 14 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; and a special friend, Marilyn Koepfer.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Ware Funeral Home by Dr. Jeff Fugate. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, with church services at 7:00 p.m. at Clays Mill Road Baptist Church and 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday at Ware Funeral Home. Burial will be in Battle Grove Cemetery.
