Hazel Wright Sweatman, 71, of Moncks Corner, SC, died Monday afternoon in a Charleston hospital.
The funeral will be 12:00 noon, Friday, October 31, 2008, in the CHAPEL OF DIAL-MURRAY FUNERAL HOME, MONCKS CORNER. Interment will follow in the Berea United Methodist Church Cemetery, Bethera. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Thursday evening. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Dial-Murray Funeral Home, 300 West Main Street, Moncks Corner, SC 29461.
Mrs. Sweatman was born January 24, 1937, in Moncks Corner, SC, a daughter of Hallie Thomas Burbage. She was preceded in death by a sister, Ruby Gaskins.
Surviving are, a daughter Pam M. Brown and her husband, Pastor G.L. Brown, of Hanahan; two sons, Walter Murphy and his wife, Cindy, of Moncks Corner and Leavy Murphy and his wife, Mona, of Bonneau; an adopted sister, Mary Howard and her husband, Wayne, of Georgetown; five grandchildren, Gamewell L. Brown, III, Blake L. Brown, Leavy B. Murphy, Jr., Walter Ronald Murphy, Jr., and Laci Murphy; a niece, Stephanie Nesbitt; a nephew, Perry Gaskins; one great niece; and three great nephews.
