ARMSTRONG, Mrs. Imogene age 86, of Dayton, was called home to be with the Lord, Monday, January 19, 2009 at Grandview Hospital. Born April 15, 1922 in Chillicothe, Ohio to the late Richard Wright, Sr. and Nelly Piper. A resident of Dayton for a number of years, where she was employed at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, the Montgomery County Social Services Department for 20+ years, as well as Tot World. She was a member of Mt. Enon Missionary Baptist Church for 40+ years, being secretary of the Pastors Aide Circle for more than 20 years and an active Sunday school member. Also, preceded in death by 1 daughter, Ruth Armstrong; brothers: Richard Wright, Jr. & Paul Piper; husband, Richard Armstrong. Survivors include her children, Donna Stovall, of Marietta, GA, Idris (Zainab) Saeed, of Colorado Springs, CO, Teresa Stephens, of Columbus, OH; grandchildren, Jennifer Johnson, Jeffrey Armstrong, Kwain Stovall, Elvin Jackson, Kelle Denmark, Zahkkiyya Saeed, Rashida Saeed Salahuddin, Khalila Saeed Briggs, Jannah Saeed Hollowell, Saleem Saeed-El-Amin, Rashid Saeed; 27 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren; brother & sister- in-law, Marion & Pauline Tellefare; devoted friends, Emagene Doyle & Ruth Baker, a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held 11 am Monday, January 26, 2009 at Mt. Enon Missionary Baptist Church, 1501 West Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Way (W. Third St.). Rev. Dr. Harold Cottom, III officiating. Interment West Memory Gardens. Visitation 9 am Monday at the church until the time of service. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
