Joe Terry Wray

Joe Terry Wray October 3, 1954- January 6, 2005 SALEM, AL— Joe Terry Wray, 50, of Salem, Ala., passed away Thursday, Jan. 6 at his home.

Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. EST Sunday, Jan. 9 at Vance Memorial Chapel, Phenix City, with the Rev. David Rozelle officiating. A private burial will be in the family cemetery in Shores, Tenn. The family will receive friends Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Wray was born Oct. 3, 1954 in Lebanon, Tenn., son of the Lonzo David Wray and Mary Haskins Wray. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant son Bryan Keith Wray.

{this should read: an infant brother – Joe Terry Wray was born in 1954 and Bryan K Wray was born and died in 1961 so there is no way that Joe Terry Wray is the father of Bryan K Wray; Joe Terry Wray and Bryan K Wray are brothers and sons of Lonzo David Wray - Peggy Pickens-Trojan} He was employed in transportation for over twenty years.

Mr. Wray is survived by his wife, Judy Louise Wray of Salem, Ala {his second wife – Peggy Pickens-Trojan}. Survivors other than his wife include two daughters, Terri Joyce Kilgo of Boaz, Ala., and Laura Elizabeth Wray of Gadsden, Ala.; three step-sons, Dallas Johnson of Columbus, Clayton Johnson of Columbus, and Darrel Johnson of Columbus; one sister, Lisa Ann Wray of New Bern, N.C.; one brother, Mark Anthony Wray of Box Springs, Ga.; grandchildren, Kayla, Kaitlyn, Karly and Jayce; lifelong friend, Ken Hull. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
