DEMOTTE -- Charlie Woudema, 56, of Rt. 1, DeMotte, died at 4:45 a.m. Saturday in his home after a lingering illness.
Mr. Woudema, a carpenter, was born in DeMotte and had been a life resident. He was married to Mary Snip who survives. He was a member of the American Reform Church in DeMotte.
Surviving with the widow are one son, Robert; his mother, Mrs. Dena Woudema of DeMotte; three brothers, Herman and Andrew Jr., both of DeMotte, and John of Hebron; and two sisters, Mrs. Melvin Massey of Hammond and Mrs. Charles Kay of Lawton, Okla.
Burial was Monday afternoon in DeMotte.
