Services for Leah M. Oroke, 86, of Topeka, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Perry United Methodist Church in Perry. Burial will be at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Perry.
Mrs. Oroke died Monday, April 13, 1998, at Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka.
She was born May 2, 1911, the daughter of Jesse P. and Mollie Lewis Worthington. She graduated from Perry Rural High School in 1928. She was a lifelong resident of Perry, before moving to Topeka in 1989.
Mrs. Oroke was a homemaker and had worked many years at the Perry Laundry.
She was a former member of the Liberty Church in Jefferson County and a former member of the Perry Circle Group. She was a member of the Perry Happy Hour Club.
She married George Franklin ``Frank'' Oroke on May 5, 1934, in Falls City, Neb. He died May 24, 1989. She was also preceded in death by a son, Billy Joe Oroke, on Nov. 4, 1985.
Survivors include a son, Rodger Oroke, Lawrence; a daughter, Donna Marie Gunther, Topeka; a brother, Don Scott, Lawrence; two sisters, Nellie Glenn and Kitty Worthington, both of Topeka; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
