Pearl Worthington was born near the town of Norton, Norton County, Kansas, the 20th day of June 1886, died at her home in Bucklin, Kansas, the 17th of April 1911, aged 24 years, 10 months, 3 days.
Her mother died when the deceased was but four years old. After two years her father married again moving with his family to Arizona, Cochise County, where they lived until his death in 1901. At which time being left an orphan, she went to her brother's home to live until her sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Houston, moved to Ratoon, N.M., at which time she accompanied them: coming from there to Clark County, Kansas, where her sister died in 1903 leaving her again homeless.
On the 4th of May 1910, she was united in marriage to John F. Pierce who with one brother, J.P. Worthington, of Route, Craig county, Colo. and a little niece and nephew survive her untimely death.
She had made many friends while living in this vicinity who sympathy with her husband and brother in this great bereavement.
Mrs. A. F. Pierce of Boyd, Okla. arrived Tuesday afternoon for the funeral of Mrs. John Pierce.
