A lifelong resident of Lambertville, he owned and operated Harry's Gulf Station for 16 years before retiring in 1976. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church and was a former member of the New Jersey Retail Gasoline Association.
He was survived by his wife, Mrs. Anna McGarry Worthington; a son, his mother, Mrs. Anna Burns Worthington, two grandchildren and a niece.
