ASHCRAFT FUNERAL SET FOR SATURDAY
Services for Pioneer Webb City Woman "Will Be Conducted at the Home.
Webb City, Mo.. March 15.— Funeral services for Mrs. Mary
Margaret Ashcraft, 71 years old, a pioneer resident of Webb City, who died at 4 o'clock this morning at her home, 216 North Ball street, will be conducted at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon from the family residence. Burial will be in Mount
Hope cemetery. The Rev. Cliff Titus, pastor of the First Community Church of Joplin, will officiate.
Mrs. Ashcraft's death was due to bronchial pneumonia. She was taken ill two weeks ago, and her condition has been critical the last several days.
Born in Kentucky.
Mrs. Ashcraft was born in Lexington, Ky., and was of a prominent family in the Blue Grass section of the state. She was a daughter of Judge Worshman of Lexington.
Mr. and Mrs. Ashcraft had been married fifty years. She had resided in Webb City the last thirty two years, and was an active member of the Christian church, Tourist Club and an honorary member of the Confederate Dames chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy.
Surviving are her husband, Sam P. Ashcraft; two daughters, Mrs.Fred C. Cater of Sedalia, and Miss Margaret Ashcraft of Webb City; a son, Sam P. Ashcraft, Jr., city engineer of Joplin; a sister, Mrs. A.Sullivan of Newport, Ky., and two
brothers, Ike E. Worshman of Lexington, Ky., and James Worshman of Midway, Ky."
