Dolly R. Campbell, of Hanover and formerly of Westminster, MD, entered into eternal slumber August 15, 2009 in Washington, D.C.
Born November 23, 1926 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late George H. and Evelyn Lane Wootton.
As a homemaker, she was proud of the career she chose; wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of the Hanover Foursquare Church and the Hilltop Assembly of God. She especially enjoyed being with her family, reading, sewing, crafts and gardening. In addition, she was very active in church activities and supported the Westminster Rescue Mission.
She was the wife of William Donald Campbell, Sr., who died August 9, 2005, and surviving are children and spouses, Diane and Sam Farace, Sr., of Sykesville, MD, Janet and Ken Harmon of Valley Lee, MD, Susan Campbell of Ellicott City, MD, Dr. William Donald, Jr. "Don" and Dr. Kay Campbell of Columbus, GA, Robin and Michael Magers of Westminster, MD, Cheryl and Jim Iler of Frederick, MD and Kim and Lee Birnbaum of Tampa, FL; also survived by sister and spouse, Joanne and Paul Zittle of North Carolina; grandchildren, Sam Farace, Jr., Stacy Seltzer, Rebecca Lee, Leah Bean, Alison and Caroline Campbell, Lauren Alexander, M. Clinton and Katelyn Magers, Brenda Oberholzer, Kristen Pontius, Jeffrey Wilmsen and Paula Smith, Jacob, Brett and Isabella Birnbaum and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by grandchildren, Denise Farace and Joel Harmon and by siblings Valeria Garrett, Herbert and Clinton Wootton and Shirley Elliott.
