The son of Christopher and Elizabeth Wools.
Elizabeth and Daniel were the parents of at least 12 children: John, Nancy Wools Fortner, Susan, Elijah, Lucy, Samuel, Edmund, Elizabeth Wools Wood, Daniel, Christopher, Amos and Catherine Jane Wools Shull.
Daniel Wools settled several hundred acres near the town of Turner, southwest of Brazil, Indiana. He was a probate judge there and traveled over several counties. The district where he settled is known as the Wools' neighborhood and the school and church, as well as a cemetery.
