Mollie was the daughter of John and Myrtle Powell Woolridge. She grew up and lived all her life in McAlester. She married Joe Harris on Jan. 14, 1953, in Fort Smith, Ark. She always enjoyed music and dancing and always had a bountiful vegetable garden. She also enjoyed tending to her many cats and simply couldn't get enough of fishing. She passed away at her home at the age of 85. Survivors include husband, Joe Harris, of the home; three daughters and one son-in-law, Jo Harris, of Krebs, Audgrene Smith, Salina, Kan., and Marie Charanza and her husband, Wolfgang, Metterteich, Germany. Also, grandchildren, Katyisha Martin, of Tulsa, Toby Martin, of Frisco, Enrico Smith, Kansas City, Mo., Makeba Smith, Fort Hood, Texas, Savailo Smith, Colorado Springs, Colo., Andrea Smith, Las Vegas, Tristan Smith, San Antonio, Dominic Smith, St. Roberts, Mo., Angel Smith, Salina, Kan., and Talisman Smith, Houston. And, special friends, Brandon J. Harris, Sonny Perteet, Tammy Bethune, Amanda Davis, the Turner family, Elfriede and Robert Charanza and Gottfriede Ott. Pallbearers will be Toby Martin, Josheb English, Jason Epps, Greg Rolan, Doug Hawkins, Craig Brown and Terrell Buie. Honorary pallbearers will be Sonny Perteet, Alfred Gatewood, Gottfriede Ott, Robert Charanza, Justin Barns and Reginald Turner. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Brumley-Mills Chapel with Pastor Myrtle Collins officiating. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Brumley-Mills Funeral Home of McAlester.
