Matilda A. Baskin, 95, formerly of Cogan Station, died Monday, June 4, 2001 at Sycamore Manor Health Center. Her husband, James B. Baskin Sr., died Feb. 22, 1988. Born Dec. 10, 1905 in Shamokin, she was a daughter of William & Ellen Weaver Woolridge.
A resident of Cogan Station since 1950, she previously lived in Williamsport. Matilda was a homemaker, graduate of Shamokin High School & member of Quiggleville United Methodist Church for 51 years.
Surviving are 2 sons, James (Elinor) Jr. & Ralph L. (Eileen), all of Cogan Station; a daughter, Gertrude (Glenn) Paulhamus of Cogan Station; 9 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, James Woolridge & a sister, Gertrude McMurtrie.
The funeral will be held Wednesday at the convenience of the family, with the Rev. Wayne Hepler & James B. Baskin III officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Trevorton. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her memory to Quiggleville United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, RD2 Cogan Station, PA 17728. Arrangements by Robert G. Foust Jr. Funeral Home, Trevorton.
