Her mother died four years after her birth. Her father died in 1850. Probate records show that Edmonia Woolfolk lived with an uncle.
Edmonia Woolfolk married G.A. Graham on 20 November 1859, Jefferson County, Kentucky. This union has produced the following issue, viz:

First civilized woman to come to Graham. Edmonia came to Graham with her husband and children in 1871 from Louisille, Kentucky.
She made a home for her family, helped start the Methodist Church in Graham, started a school for her children and welcomed all newcomers into her home.
