Mrs. Elbert was born Feb. 17, 1929, in Joplin, Mo., to the late Floyd Wesley Woolever and Ruby Peas Woolever and had lived in the Joplin area most of her life. A homemaker, she was an active bowler; enjoyed sewing; and loved to fish. She was a member of Joplin Heights Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, John William Ganes, on June 29, 1971.
She married Kenneth Lyle Elbert on Sept. 21, 1984, in Miami, Okla. He survives at the home.
Additional survivors include her children, Glenda Spence and husband, Jerry, Webb City, Eric Ganes and wife, Vicky, Joplin, Debbie Heath and husband, Jim, Joplin, and Johnny Bill Ganes and wife, Barbara, Joplin; two brothers, Jack Woolever and wife, Deanie, Joplin, and Bob Woolever and wife, Eva, Joplin; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Geraldine was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.
Graveside services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. The sons and grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
