Jean L. Berkheiser, 90, of Salunga, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 5, 2013.

Born in Peckville, she was the daughter of the late Glen and Elsie Warren Woodworth.

Jean worked as a Bookkeeper and Secretary for Eastern Independent Church Mission of Mount Joy until her retirement in 1996.

She was a member of Calvary Bible Church of Mount Joy.

Jean was an avid reader and enjoyed sewing and gardening.

She will be remembered as a loving and caring wife and mother.

In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her four sisters; and, her three brothers.

She was the beloved wife of and is survived by: Reverend William H. "Bill" Berkheiser to whom she was married for seventy-two years; her daughters: Mary Ellen, (Rev. Ronald) Stuart of Elizabethtown and Karin (Jorge) Matias of Mount Joy; her sons: William H., III (Nancy Balfour) Berkheiser of Lake Arian, Michigan and Reverend Keith (Sharon Mattson) Berkheiser of Mount Joy; her nine grandchildren; her seventeen great-grandchildren; her sister: Edith (Richard) Miles of Indian Trail, North Carolina; and, her brother: Glen (Nobuko) Woodworth, Jr., of San Jose, California.

Funeral Services and interment in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery will be private and held at the convenience of her family.
