Mary Louise Woods, age 89, of Hawkinsville, Ga died Sunday, November 16, 2008. Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, November 21, 2008 at Powers Cemetery on Chicken Road in Pulaski County with the Rev. Dr. Gary L. Abbott, Sr., and Rev. Freddie Hogg officiating.

Mrs. Woods was a native of Pulaski County having been born December 22, 1918 at the home place on Chicken Road, and passed away at home on Anderson Road in Hawkinsville, Ga. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hawkinsville, and a retired secretary having worked for Georgia Power Company for 12 years. She also worked at Pulaski Banking Company. Mrs. Woods loved flowers and was very athletic, was voted most Atheletic, most Attractive, and best dancer in her senior class. She was a big Georgia Bulldog Fan. She dearly loved her family and was preceded in death by her mother, Gena Buchan Lamar, Father, Gus Bacon Lamar; two brothers; Gainer Lamar, and John G. Lamar; also her husband John T. Woods.

Survivors include, a dauthter, Mary Tribble (Bill) of Macon, Ga; a son, Mike Goslin (Linda) of Hawkinsville, Ga.; four granddaughters, Dr. Gena Tribble (Tom Gambill) of Missouri City, Texas; Ginger Martin (Christopher) of Hawkinsville, Ga.; Jennifer Tribble, Macon, Ga.; Betsy Goslin of Hawkinsville, Ga.; and three great-grandchildren.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Bob Lamar, R.G. Lamar, Sonny Monfort, Tom Gambill, Christopher Martin, Grantson Martin, Bill Hurst, George Woods, Henry Nelson, Terrell Nelson, Harris Goss, Bob Tribble, Pete Martin, Sterlin Carr and All Morris.
