EMMA JEAN WOODRUM of Hamlin, W.Va., born June 7, 1930, passed away July 23, 2015, at home at the age of eighty-five years, one month and sixteen days. She was preceded in death by her husband Ray Gene Woodrum. She was a lifetime member of Central/Hamlin United Methodist Church, Hamlin, W.Va. Emma is survived by two sons, Buddy Wade of Hamlin, W.Va., and Tommy (Ruth) Wade of Hamlin, W.Va.; one daughter, Judy (Russell) Thompson of Portland, Tenn.; grandchildren Kevin (Debra) Thompson of Portland, Tenn., Rusty (Keli) Thompson of Portland, Tenn., Paula (Jimbo) Smith of Hamlin, W.Va., and Michael Wade of Hamlin, W.Va.; great-grandchildren Briana Thompson of Lancaster, S.C., Dakota Thompson of Portland, Tenn., Heather (Chad) Quick of Hurricane, W.Va., Hannah Smith of Hamlin, W.Va.; special sister Margaret Mason of Hamlin, W.Va.; and great- great-granddaughter Chloe Bradley of Lancaster S.C. A special thanks to Hospice of Huntington, special friends Susie Pullen, Noreen Ancell and caregiver Teresa McCloud. Funeral Service will be 1 p.m. Sunday, July 26, 2015, at Koontz Funeral Home, Hamlin, W.Va., with Roy Lee Lambert and Rev. Robert Fulton officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Memory Gardens, Hamlin, W.Va. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, July 25, at Koontz Funeral Home, Hamlin, W.Va. In her honor donations may be made to Hamlin United Methodist Church, Hamlin, W.Va.
