Donald E. Woodrum, 79, of Yawkey, Lincoln County, died Friday, March 17, 2000, in Thomas Memorial Hospital, after a short illness.
He was a retired coal miner and a retired route salesman for Betsey Ross, Charleston. He was a member of the UMW and the Porter Fork Baptist Church, Yawkey, where he served as church clerk and deacon. He was a member of the Alum Creek VFW Post 4768 and attended Hilltop Baptist Church, South Charleston. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Surviving: daughters, Brenda Hudson of Hurricane, Beverly Johnson of Yawkey; brother, Jimmy Woodrum of Spring Hill; three grandchildren.
Service will be 1 p.m. Monday at Curry Funeral Home Chapel, Alum Creek, with the Rev. Basil Hudson and the Rev. Larry Johnson officiating. Burial with military graveside rites by Alum Creek VFW Post 4768 will be in Orchard Hills, Yawkey.
