She was born on October 17, 1919 to John & Lyda (Babcock) Levandoski.
She married Howard Woodruff on August 22, 1943 in Standish, Michigan. He preceded her in death in 1999.
Evelyn was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great- grandmother. She dedicated herself to the children of Beaverton area throughout her life, as a great teacher, retiring in 1984. She was a resident of Gladwin County before moving to Lake Ann, Michigan in 1984 and again returned to Beaverton in 2005.
She is survived by her sons: Bob (Cindy) Woodruff of Beaverton; Dick (Barb) Woodruff also of Beaverton; daughter: Judy DePodesta of Lake Ann; Lester (Shelly) Peters of Beaverton; 9 grandchildren: Michael (Dee) Parker of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Jennifer (Jeff) McCrum, of Tennessee; David DePodesta & Sara Brightman of North Carolina; Danielle (Matt) Endres of Rockford, MI; Shad (Brianne) Woodruff of Beaverton, MI; Adam Woodruff of Waterford, MI; Lacy Woodruff of Beaverton, MI; Dusty (Shane) Metter of Ohio; & Stacy (Matt) Rodgers of Midland, MI; 14 great grandchildren;
sisters: Kathy Wildey of Costa Rica; Barb Ross of Traverse City, MI; several nieces & nephews; her extended family: George Rosiak of Kentucky; Sarah Rosiak of Naples, Florida and their children.
She is predeceased by her husband: Howard; parents; son: Howard Samuel Woodruff; brother: Jack Levandoski.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, May 7, 2010, 11:00 A.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 6, 2010 from 12 noon until 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Billings Twp. Cemetery, Beaverton, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Donor's Charity of Choice.
