Mary E. Bont, age 56, went to be with her Lord, Friday, November 20, 2009. Mary will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Mark Bont; her children, James Vicky Howerzyl, Rebecca John Baxter; her grandchildren, Alexandra, Cody and Elijah Howerzyl, Gabrielle and Jacob Baxter; her brothers, Floyd Jeanne Woodruff, Roger Karen Bekkering, Wayne PhyllisBekkering, Gary Bonnie Woodruff, Calvin Sally Bekkering, David Linda Bekkering; her siblings-in-law, Evelyn Dreyer, Hank Kathy Bont; numerous nieces and nephews; and her special friend Jackie Taylor.

She was a Registered Nurse in LTAC for Spectrum Health. She spent her life serving God and caring for others.

A time for relatives and friends to visit with Mary's family will be held from 1-3 & 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Cook Funeral Home in Byron Center, 2067 – 84th St. SW. Funeral services will be held 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Kentwood Community Church, 1200 – 60th St. SE, with visitation one hour prior to the service. In honor of Mary, contributions may be made to In The Image, Mel Trotter Ministries or the Fred & Lena Meijer Heart Center.
