Graveside Service for Opal Sue Woodruff age 90 of Sharon, TN, will be held Friday March 26th at 12 noon at Brock's Cemetery in Greenfield. Visitation will begin Friday morning at Williams Funeral Home in Greenfield going from 10:30 am until 11:30 am.
Opal Sue Woodruff, or Sue as she was known, was born on October 1, 1930 in Gleason. She later married Milburn H. Woodruff and moved to Lansing, MI where she lived as a housewife for 16 years. Following the passing of her husband she returned to west TN to live in Martin and later Sharon while working at Volunteer General Hospital for 26 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Martin, TN. She enjoyed gardening, shopping, and crochet work in her retirement years. Sue passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 23rd, with her two children by her bedside.
Sue is survived by her daughter Marilyn Woodruff and her son Dale Woodruff. She was preceded in death by her parents Jake and Estille (Berryhill) Lasater, four sisters; Maxine Lasater Webb, Elrene Lasater Maxey, Betty Lasater Richmond, Dean Lasater Evan, and one brother Ray Lasater.
