Margaret G. Capatch, 79, of Ridgeview Elder Care Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Curwensville, and formerly of Philipsburg, died Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2007, at the center at 10:45 a.m.

Born Sept. 17, 1927, she was a daughter of Wesley G. and Margaret G. (Flegal) Woodring.

Mrs. Capatch was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Philipsburg, where she was an elder and a deacon.

She was also a member of the Christian Women's Club in Philipsburg, the Pennhurst Players in Philipsburg and the Philipsburg Contemporary Club. She volunteered for the Philipsburg Historical Society.

Mrs. Capatch had been employed for more than 25 years with Kurtz Bros. in Clearfield until her retirement.

She was a graduate of Philipsburg High School and attended the Philipsburg Hospital School of Nursing.

On Dec. 5, 1947, she wed Carmen M. Capatch. He died June 23, 1966.

She is survived by three daughters, Jill C. Morgan of Curwensville, Jan A. O'Link of Pittsburgh and Kelley Ann Mahute of rural Philipsburg; a son, Scott A. Capatch; four grandchildren, Caitlin Capatch, Kendall Capatch, Kim Buglak and Jeff O'Link; a great-grandson, Connor Patrick Morgan; a sister, Alice J. Selbst and her husband, Paul, of Dallas, Texas; a brother, James Woodring and his wife, Beverly, of Reading; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert H. and Wesley G. Woodring.

Funeral services will be held Monday, Sept. 17, 2007, at 11 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Philipsburg with the Rev. Tracie Bullis officiating.

Burial will follow at Bradford Cemetery in Woodland.

Friends will be received at the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home in Philipsburg Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and on Monday from 10-10:30 a.m.
