He was born on February 17, 1925 in Slick, Oklahoma to Gilbert and Ruby Mae (Conrad) Wood. He retired after 18 years from the US Postal Service out of Tulsa, OK as a custodian. He worked with the DAV Chapter 32. He's lived in the area for six years after moving from the Leisure Shore area. He is a Christian and followed the teachings of Jesus. He married Wilma (Blackwell) on June 3, 1958 in Clayton, New Mexico, she survives of the home.
He is preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters and 1 son.
Survivors include, one brother Gilbert Wood and wife Billie Jean of Baton Rouge, Louisiana
and nieces and nephews
Services will be 10:00am Wednesday February 22, 2012 at Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Miami, Oklahoma. Ken Pinney and Andy Kuehn will officiate. Interment will be at Glen Abbey Memorial Garden east of Miami, Oklahoma
