On Sunday, December 9, 2001, LILLIAN MARGARET (DALTON) WOOD of Manassas, following a bout with cancer at Hospice of Northern Virginia. She was surrounded by her loving family. Born June 9, 1917 in Franklin, NC, she was the daughter of the late Charles T. "Doc" and Callie Dalton. She was preceded in death by her husband William "Bill" Wood; her brothers Alonzo and Cleo Dalton, and her sister Marie Calloway. She is survived by her four children, Thelma Sutphin, Virginia Lane, Doyle Wood and Gail Wolfrey; her brother Charles T. "C.T." Dalton, and sisters Gladys Tritt and Mary Sue Forrester. She was a loving grandmother to 11 and great-grandmother to 14. Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 11, 2001 from 5 until 8 p.m. at LEE FUNERAL HOME, 8521 Sudley Road, Manassas, VA. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, December 12, 2001 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Stonewall Memorial Gardens. Donations may be made in her name to Hospice of Northern Virginia, Attn: Donation Processing, 9300 Lee Highway, 5th Floor, Fairfax, VA 22031-1207.
