Clara Sullivan was killed in a New York Central railroad wreck in Forsythe, NY, along with her husband Richard and their daughter Alma Stureman and her husband Robert. At least nine other people were killed along with several others injured. They were en route home from a tour of the east after spending Thanksgiving with her daughter, Dorothy Sullivan. She was survived by her daughter Dorothy, her granddaughter Louise Stureman, aged 3 years, who did not make the trip due to her young age.
