LAMAR COUNTY ECHO, 19 Mar 1981. 'Mrs. Don W. Wair, 88, a resident of Parkview Nursing Home died 10 Mar 1981 in a local hospital. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon, 12 Mar 1981 in Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ed Blythe officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery. Carrie B. Womack Wair was born in Paris on 11 Sep 1892, daughter of Luther Womack and Elizabeth Lucky Womack. She married Don W. Wair on 18 Jan 1913; he preceded her in death on Aug 20, 1968. Survivors include three brothers, Volney Womack and Jack Womack, both of Paris and Bill Womack of Fort Worth, one niece, Mrs. Dorothy Jett of Fort Worth, and one nephew, William H. Womack of Fort Worth. Pallbearers were Elbert E. Barbee Jr., Luther Parr, W.F. Parr, Billy F. Parr, Howard S. Beville and Leonard Meadlin.
