Phyllis Kay Baker, 65, of Shady Shores, passed away August 11, 2010 in Denton. She was born December 25, 1944 in Henrietta, OK to W.A. Wolf and Edna Mae Sims Wolf. Phyllis attended Brownfield High School and was a member and prime timer of Faith Tabernacle Church. She enjoyed visiting Branson, MO. She was a telephone operator for Verizon for 25 years. Phyllis married Charles L. Baker on November 26, 1990.
Visitation will be held Saturday, August 15, 2010 from 4-6 pm at DeBerry Funeral Directors. Services will be held Sunday, August 16, 2010 at 10 am at Faith Tabernacle with Pastor Randy Snow officiating. Interment will take place following the service in Sanger, TX.
Phyllis is survived by her husband Charles Baker; 2 sisters, Carol Ann Petree and husband Bill of New Mexico, and Linda Darnell and husband Richard of New Mexico; 1 uncle, Harold Sims of Arlington; in-laws Dale and Marilyn Baker and Teressa and James Passons; 2 nieces, Tanisha Evans Whiteman of MO and Cristina Peterson of Shady Shores as well as numerous cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Faith Tabernacle Building Fund.
