Shelby Linda (Wolf) Ardoin, 69, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 15 2011.
She was born in Springfield, MA to the late Herbert Alfred and Doris Esther Beckman Wolf.
She graduated from the Springfield Hospital School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse and worked most of her career as a labor and delivery nurse. She also taught nursing at Aplena State College in Michigan and was an ER nurse at Santa Rosa Medical Center.
Shelby activity enjoyed volunteering in the local community by volunteering at the Pregnancy Resource Center in Milton for many years, Suit Yourself through Olive Baptist Church and the Hope and Health Clinic. She was an 11 year active member of Olive Baptist Church in Pensacola, enjoying her Sunday School classes, Awana and serving as a greeter.
Shelby is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 47 years, Richard; two sons, that she loved and was very proud of, Douglas (Pam) Ardoin and Gregory (Stephanie) Ardoin; her seven beautiful little angels, her grandchildren, Alex, Jordan, Connor, Aubrey, Jonah, Luke and Ben; and her loving sister, Barbara (Bill) Muldrew.
Funeral services will be held at 12noon Friday, March 18, 2011 at Olive Baptist Church Pensacola with Dr. Ted Traylor officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:30 am prior to services.
Burial will be held at 1:15pm Monday, March 21, 2011 at Barrancas National Cemetery. Lewis Funeral Home directing.
