William M. Wolf died about 1851 and his wife died about 1852. He was the oldest son of Major Jacob & Maldred Meredith Wolf. He married Phoebe Elizabeth Kellough about 1841 in Izard County, Arkansas.This couple had six sons and one daughter. The four oldest sons all served the AR CSA. The two younger sons were too young for war service.

The daughter Mary Jane Wolf cannot be traced, but it is know that she married and was living in Texas.

The youngest son, Lorenzo Dow Wolf, cannot be traced to adulthood.

His son Jacob H. Wolf served as Sheriff of Baxter County, AR for many years before moving to Chandler, OK where he is buried along with some of his descendants.

These people buried in the Salem Cemetery in Howard County, TX are his son, George Washington Wolf, his son James Madison Wolf, and his son William Sebastain Wolf along with some of their family members.
