She was a graduate of Central York Highschool.

She leaves two daughters, Jodi Toomey of Dover and Kathy Deseta of York; Five Sons, Larry Baer and Leon Baer, both of Dover, Lonnie Baer and Joseph Baer, both of York and Lenny Baer of Newberrytown; 13 Grandchildren; Seven step grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a Sister Katherine Ross of Orlando Florida, and Five Brothers, Richard Witmer of York Pennsylvania, Harold "Whip" Witmer of Clarksville Tennesee, Donald Witmer of Kissimmee Fla, Roland Witmer of Sanford Fla and Joseph Arnesberger of Winter Park.
