Jean Belskie, 95, formerly of 312 Webster St., Ranshaw, passed away at 1:45 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 25, 2015, at Mountain View: A Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born Oct. 12, 1919, in Ranshaw, she was a daughter of Peter Witkowski and Felixa Kozlowska. She attended St. Anthony School, Ranshaw, and was a lifelong resident of Ranshaw.
Jean was married in St. Anthony Church, Ranshaw, Nov. 22, 1941, to Lewis Belskie, who preceded her in death. She was a homemaker.
She was a member of the former St. Anthony Church, Ranshaw, now Mother Cabrini Church, Shamokin. She was involved in most of the church activities, including making perogi and donuts. She enjoyed watching television game shows and spending time with family.
She is survived by her daughter, Louise Belskie, of Ranshaw, a sister, Pearl Zarambo, of Allentown, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Barney, Chester and Alphonse Witkowski.
A viewing was held at the Leonard J. Lucas Funeral Home, Ltd., 120 S. Market St., Shamokin. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated in Mother Cabrini Church, Shamokin, with the Rev. Martin Kobos as celebrant. Burial was in All Saints Cemetery, Elysburg.
