Son of John and Sarah (Whittier) Withrow. Isaac was born in Greenfield. He was a farmer at the Gore, Hants County, Nova Scotia.
He married Elizabeth Smith on 31 Oct 1837 in Rawdon. They had the following children:
Lucy Ann (1838-1920), John Stephen (1841-1911), Benjamin Smith (1843-1935), Maynard Munroe (1846-1889), Mary, David (1849-1932), Mary Oxley (1854-1952), Martha (b.1857).
He then married the widow of James Munro Brison, Mary Ann Bailey. They had the following children: Minnie, Annie and William H.
