Mary Adella Witherspoon was the beloved baby girl of J.G. Witherspoon and his wife Elizabeth Marable Witherspoon who were living in Shawnee, OK but later moved to Ada, OK. She was their first child who was much anticipated. Sadly, she was premature and died of a bowel inflammation. Also, her mother told me she just didn't make enough milk for her either. Her life was short but greatly appreciated and valued. To the left is a picture of her parents around 1907.

Her maternal grandmother was Elizabeth "Lizzie" Bres Marable Giles who is buried in Elmwood Cemetery in Bowie, TX and John Benjamin Marable, Sr. her maternal grandfather who is buried in Elmwood Cemetery in Bowie, TX.
