MRS. SARAH BYERS DEAD, 81 YEARS OLDWas Daughter of Ephraim Wissinger, Long Ago Resident of Yoder TownshipMrs. Sarah Byers, aged 51 years, widow of Samuel Byers, and who had been ill for some weeks at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Pringle, 244 Third street, Conemaugh, passed away between 3 and 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon. Her death was due to a complication of diseases, including paralysis. Although her health has been impaired for some time, Mrs. Byers was able to be about until December 3, where she became bedfast. Funeral services will be held at the Pringle home at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon by the Rev. Roy Beggs, pastor of the Conemaugh Methodist Episcopal Church, interment to be in the family plot in Headrick's Cemetery, above Conemaugh. Mrs. Byers was a daughter of Ephraim and Jane (Lemmon) Wissinger and was born in Yoder Township, above Morrellville, in October, 1850. Later her father located in Franklin Borough, where he was once engaged in business. Miss Wissinger and Samuel Byers, son of the Rev. William Byers, a pioneer minister of Jackson Township, were married in the summer of 1869 by Rev. Stephen Hildebrand of the Brethren denomination. Mr. and Mrs. Byers went to housekeeping in Jackson Township, but later located in Conemaugh, where Mr. Byers passed away at the Pringle home in June, 1926. He was a veteran of the Civil War and a retired railroader. Mrs. Byers is survived by these children: Ella, wife of E.E. Pringle; William L. Byers, 341 Lincoln street; Harry S. Byers, Conrad apartment, and Louis R. Byers, Vinco. Five children- Charles, Frank, Essie, Dora and Herbert- preceded Mrs. Byers in death. Mrs. Byers was a sister of R. J. Wissinger, Wesley Chapel; Mrs. Rachel Barkheimer, Coleman avenue and Mrs. Ellie Miller, Franklin street
