Mrs. King Dies
Funeral Is Sunday For Murphysboro Woman
Mrs. Daily Evelyn King, 52, of rural route three, Murphysboro, died in the Doctor's Hospital in Carbondale Thursday night following an illness of about nine months.
She was born in Murphysboro in February of 1900 and lived in Murphysboro all her life.
She was married in 1917 to Daniel Earl King who survives.
She also leaves two sons, Daniel Earl King, Jr. of Murphysboro and John of Chicago, six daughters, Mrs. Earline Walters and Mrs. Ida Mae Hare, both of Chicago, Mrs. Pauline Herring of Murphysboro, Mrs. Doris Black of Carbondale, and Geraldine and Francis both at home, one granddaughter, Shirley Imhoff, who made her home with Mrs. King, three sisters, Mrs. Beulah Yearian of Murphysboro, Mrs Doris Atkins of Salem and Mrs. Edna Bitters of Riverside, California, two brothers, Arthur and Isaac Wisely both of Murphysboro, one half-sister, Mrs. Clara McKinney of Murphysboro and one half-brother, Leo Wisely of Murphysboro.
She was a member of the Pate Chapel Baptist Church.
Friends may call at the Meyer-Denny Funeral Home in Murphysboro until the hour of services, Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Pate Chapel church north of Murphysboro. Burial will be in the Pate Chapel cemetery.
