Preston Wise's parents are incorrectly listed on his death certificate as William Sidney Wise and Mary Elizabeth Clark. The 1850, 1860, and 1870 censuses support that his parents' names were Sidney Smith Wise and Elizabeth Ann Clark.
There is a grave marked with no dates for Preston Wise next to his first wife Lucy Miller Wise in Horns Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
