EDINBURGH – L. Eleanor "Ellie" McNeal, 77, of Flushing, Mich., died Wednesday, Jan. 29, 1997, at her home.
She was a 1938 graduate of Edinburgh High School and a homemaker.
Funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home, with the Rev. George Dudley officiating. Calling will be from 11 a.m. until service time Monday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery in Columbus.
Mrs. McNeal was born in Edinburgh March 16, 1919, the daughter of Orphie R. and Tressie E. Compton Wirey. She married David A. McNeal April 7, 1942. He survives.
Also surviving are daughters, Susan Latimer of Hagerstown, Md., Janet Ekel of Corunna, Mich., and Jennifer Hessler of Bancroft, Mich.; a sister, Helen Gillespie of Fort Wayne; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Meggin Hessler.
