Audrell Myrtle Winters Bampton, 96, of Midland in Allegany County, Maryland died March 9, 2008 at the South River Health and Rehabilitation Center in Edgewater.
Mrs. Bampton was born Aug. 19, 1911, in Midland to the late Jacob H. Winters and Isabella Ross Winters Clise.
She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Midland, where she belonged to the Women's Society and was a choir member for 68 years. She was also a member of the Martha Washington Order of the Eastern Star Chapter No. 10 and the Georges Creek Senior Citizens.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Bampton, in 1985; and one sister, Lena Angela Winters Tighe.
Survivors include two daughters, Dorothy Winters Huston of Annapolis and Susan Jane Bampton Kidwell of Edgewater; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
