Ralph J. Winters, 93, of Crawfordsville, died May 14, 2013 at his home. Joe was born Feb. 1, 1920 to Ralph and Catherine Winters. Joe had a passion for antique cars, big bands and music. He learned to play guitar at age 12 and continued to perform for 75 more years.
At age 20, he joined the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He served his country as a radio operator with the Flying Tigers in China. He worked in the printing business in Nashville and retired in 1985. He then returned to Crawfordsville.
Survived by his sister, Margaret; his brother, Charles; his former wife, Virginia; his son, Edward; and his daughter, Mary.
