Mrs. Marie W. Cocks, 76, of 3723 N. Washington Road died at 8:30 pm yesterday at her home.
A native of Sioux City, Iowa, she had lived here 30 years. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and the Hawkeye Chapter of the Daughters of the Eastern Star, Des Moines, Iowa. Mr. and Mrs. Cocks celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary last February.
Surviving are her husband, Harry J.; a son, Edward W., Fort Wayne; two daughters, Mrs. Delores Wharff, San Jose, Calif., and Mrs. Mary (Jack) Stark, Fort Wayne; two sisters, Mrs. Pauline Oein, Minneapolis, Minn., and Mrs. Ann Grubel, Sioux City; four brothers, Charles Winter, Wilmington, Calif., Albert, Portland, Ore., Fred, Sioux City, and Richard, Knighton, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 am Friday in Klaehn's South Anthony Chapel, the Rev. Herbert Lindemann officiating. Burial will be in Lindenwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral chapel from 7 to 9 pm today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Thursday.
