Colleen attended school at Westboro and received her high school diploma in 1954. After graduating, she entered the United States Marine Corps and proudly served her country until her honorable discharge on July 6, 1957.
On June 8, 1957, Colleen was united in marriage to Robert Choate, Jr. in California. To this union, three sons were born. They were later divorced.
Colleen worked in Omaha, Nebraska and was employed as a machine operator for the Purex Soap factory and as a press operator for the Colonial Printing. She retired following a job-related injury.
Colleen was a member of the United Methodist Church in Westboro, the Eagles Club in Omaha, and was a Union Steward for the Graphic Communications International Union.
Colleen is survived by her mother; three sons; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three sisters; one brother and wife, and one sister-in-law.
Colleen is preceded in death by her father, Ralph, who passed away in June of 1970, one brother Wayne, who passed away in January of 2005, three nephews and one niece.
Graveside Memorial Services and Inurnment: 10:30 am, Tuesday, May 29, 2007 at Center Grove Cemetery, Westboro.
There is no scheduled family visitation.
