She was educated in the Person County public school system and North Carolina Central College. Frances retired after 23 years of service as a secretary for DePaul Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband, Marvin P. Anderson; one sister, Annie Eubanks; and one brother, Charles Winstead.
She is survived by one daughter, Linda Leathers; one sister, Margie Brooks; one brother, Harold F. Winstead (Frances); one grandson, Marvin C. Leathers; two sisters-in-law, Sarah Russell and Mary Anderson; one brother- in-law, Walter Anderson (Hattie); one special cousin, Corrine Laws; a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Metropolitan Funeral Service, Berkley Ave. Chapel. The Rev. Gloria N. Dowtin will officiate. Interment will be at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Norfolk.
