Owens, Virginia C. (nee Winkler) on Sunday, Jan. 31, 2010. Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church. Daughter of the late Philip Winkler and Mary Koebbe Winkler; Beloved wife of the late Edward Owens; Cherished mother of Robert J. (Donna), Sr. Mary Bryan, SSND, Paul E. (Carol), Thomas J. (Linda), Michael P., Terrance A. (Helen Mary), and Ann M. (Lee) Whitney; Sister of Philip (Shirley) and Edward (Joan) Winkler and Beatrice (late Edmond) Contestabile, and the late Rev. Clarence, Raymond (late Helen), Walter (Jeane), and Robert Winkler; Loving grandmother, great-grandmother, mother-in-law, aunt, great-aunt, cousin, and friend. Virginia was a lifelong member of St. Aloysius Gonzaga Parish and a longtime member of the St. Aloysius Christian Ladies Sodality. She was a twenty-year volunteer for Meals on Wheels and appeared as Mrs. Claus at St. Aloysius Santa House for many years. Services: Visitation at KUTIS AFFTON Chapel, 10151 Gravois, Thursday, Feb. 4, 1-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, Feb. 5 at 10 a.m. at St. Dominic Savio Catholic Church. Interment St. Paul's Churchyard, Affton MO. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Vincent Home for Children, 7401 Florissant Rd., St. Louis, MO 63121 will be appreciated.
