Lucille Andrews, 93, died Saturday, March 18, 2006 at Spurgeon Manor in Dallas Center from congestive heart failure. She was born March 19, 1912 at Dallas Center, Iowa to Harry and Florence (Benedick) Wingert.
Lucille was baptized into the Church of the Brethren at age 12. In 1926 she became a charter member of the Dunkard Brethren Church to which she remained faithful until her death.
Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Harry; daughter, Dorothy Blocher; great- grandson, Klint Andrews; brothers, Orville and David; sisters, Mary Gehr and Evelyn Faderon; and nephew, Leon Faderon. Surviving family includes two sons, Marvin and wife, Dorothy of Lee's Summit, MO and Larry and wife, Jolene of Raymore, MO; daughter, Miriam and husband, Carl Reed of Grandview, MO; 19 grandchildren, 59 great-grandchildren, 28 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Sunday at Iles Funeral Homes- Brandt Chapel in Dallas Center. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday at the Dunkard Brethren Church in Dallas Center with burial to follow at Brethren Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Spurgeon Manor.
