Branchville,S.C.-Mrs. Pearlie Estelle Valentine,48,of Route 1,Box 37,Branchville,died Saturday at her residence.

The funeral will be held at 4:30 p.m. Monday at Branchville Baptist Church,with the Rev. Charles Bradley and the Rev. Walter Gleaton officiating. Burial will be in Ott Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Frankie Dozier,Pete Smoak,Robert Dunning,Jimmy Irick,M.J. Morton and Donald Owens.
Mrs. Valentine was born in Orangeburg County,a daughter of the late Drayton Wingard and Pearlie Wingard. She was a retired seamstress of Fairmount Manufacturing Co. of Branchville,a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and Branchville Baptist church and had lived in Branchville for 30 years.

Survivors include her husband,John C. Valentine of Branchville;two sons,William "Billy" Clifton Valentine and Jef Jeffreys,both of Branchville;two daughters,Miss Brenda Rae Valentine of Conway and Mrs. Bill (Kathy) Rivers of Branchville;two brothers,Willie Wingard of Swansea and Walter Wingard of Pelion;a sister,Mrs. Rose W. Jones of Sumter;seven grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Ott Funeral Home.

The family suggests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society of Branchville Baptist Church.
