Martha Wing Lombardi
SANDWICH — Martha Wing Lombardi went to heaven on Saturday July 3, 2010, at the age of 95. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Thomas Alfred, and is survived by her sister, Deborah Wing, her daughter, Nancy Wing Lombardi, her son, Richard Lombardi and his wife Peggy, grandchildren, Lisa Mendenhall (Greg), Richard Lombardi Jr. (Kim), Robert Lombardi (Katie), and Laura Lombardi, and great-grandchildren, Tommy and Josh Lombardi, Hannah and Jake Mendenhall and Rocco Lombardi.
Martha grew up in Newton, lived for many years in Harrington Park, N.J., and Sandwich. She was a member of the First Church of Christ in Sandwich, the Harrington Park Community Church and choir, President of the Pascack Valley Hospital Auxiliary Thrift Shop, the Harrington Park Women's Club and the Women's Club of Sandwich. An active member of the Wing Family of America, she participated in Wing Family activities and assisted with the care and preservation of the Wing Fort House in Sandwich. Martha's gentle nature endeared her to all who knew her.
Visiting hours will be held at Nickerson Bourne Funeral Home, 40 MacArthur Boulevard, Bourne, MA 02532 from 4 to 6 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, July 7. Funeral services will be held at the First Church of Christ, 136 Old Main Street, Sandwich MA 02563 at 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 8, followed by a collation for friends at the Church and interment in Sandwich Town Cemetery.
