Gainesville, FL - Carol Winegar Schmitt, age 69, passed away on Saturday October 25, 2008 at her home in Gainesville, Fl. She was born in Buffalo, NY on June 6, 1939 and moved to Gainesville in 1981. She met her husband, Pete, in Sunday school. They graduated from Amherst Central High School where they were sweethearts, and were married in 1962. She is survived by her husband Peter vH. Schmitt, son Thomas vH. Schmitt, and daughter Kathleen E. Schmitt of Gainesville, a brother Nelson F.
