Ruth E. Winegar, age 91, of Mountain Home, went home to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on July 13, 2013.
Ruth was born on June 14, 1922 in Mulliken, Michigan to George and Melva Palmer and has been a resident of Mountain Home for the last six years.
She was preceded in death by William Edwin Winegar her loving husband of 60 years, her son Michael Winegar, her brothers; Nathan, Charles and Herbert Palmer and her sister, Erma Amon.
Ruth had many life interests including Bible studies, cooking, gardening, reading and her cats. She was a wonderful homemaker and loving mother.
Ruth grew up in a small town in Michigan, married her husband "Bill" in 1942 and they lived in numerous locations in the U.S with their children while her husband served for the U.S. Air Force. Later they retired in Northern California and after her husband passed away, she moved to the Mountain Home area to be near her daughter.
Survivors include her daughters; Billie Kay Miller and husband David of Norfork, Arkansas, Lauralee Thurston and husband Peter of Eugene, Oregon, her son Patrick Winegar and wife Evelyn of Windsor, California, her daughter-in-law, Martha Winegar of Winter Park, Florida, her grandchildren, Jennifer Roach of Whitehouse, Texas, Patrick Miller of Nashville, Tennessee, Lucas, Nina and Noel Thurston of Portland, Oregon, William Winegar of Jacksonville, Florida, Jennifer Belflower of Altamonte Springs, Florida, Molly Cone of Melrose, Florida and nine great grandchildren.
A Memorial Gathering of family and friends will be held at a later date.
